Skanska Stacy and Witbeck (SSW) Project Engineer Di Zhang specializes in complexities. She processes the city change orders and subcontract modifications submitted for the Project. Dealing with these various contracts requires the ability to sort through an incredible amount of information and a strong attention to detail.

So Di can appreciate the complex design of the Sixth Street Viaduct. She told us that it has been especially rewarding to see the falsework for the TARFBs installed, because she knows how intricate the design is and how easily the rebar could come into conflict during installation. Fortunately, SSW has sophisticated engineers like Di on the job to tackle these types of challenges.
Di mentioned that when she stands near the eastern side of the construction site, near the 101 Freeway, she can see the Project's progress and Downtown Los Angeles in the background. With all of the falsework in place, getting ready for concrete pours, it almost looks like there is a full-sized prototype of the bridge in place.
We can certainly understand what Di likes about that spot. It's not that complex.
