Art Sanchez is a military veteran and a veteran of the construction industry with over 30 years of experience. He came to work on the Project after working on several other projects that members of the SSW team were a part of. Art told us that he likes the culture of safety that SSW instills. He also enjoys his role as foreman because the most rewarding part of his job is teaching someone a new skill.
Art is currently a Falsework Foreman, which means that he has been overseeing a lot of the falsework installation described in previous newsletters. He first entered the construction industry working with his uncle, who was also a Falsework Foreman. Before that, Art served in the Army (from 1981 to 1984) as a cook stationed in Germany and then El Paso, Texas. These days, his favorite dish to prepare is lasagna!
